SATA-IO release of the Serial ATA Revision 3.0, which increases the speed of data transfer 6 GB per second and adds support for multimedia applications. The SATA specification version 3.0 is compatible with the previous SATA and with the support of a lower energy. Other changes include streaming Native Command Queuing (NCQ) for audio and video applications that require large bandwidth. The new standards also include a new connector for Low Insertion Force 1.8-inch storage devices, including solid state drive.
